Tag11th Doctor

Doctor Whooch // Episode 126 // Nobody Dies… That We Saw

In which a kid slides directly into his dad’s DMs and then catches the consumption.

It’s part two of our spectacular Companions Season finalé, in which we continue to talk about The Curse of the Black Spot with Doctor Who podcast luminaries Erika Ensign and Steven Schapansky!

In this episode, a Steven Moffat conspiracy theory is hatched, and we discuss how Doctor Who fans aren’t detail oriented at all, and how crowns are pretty dope. Plus: drunk Chris Chibnall talk! Also, the appearance of some pod cats! No, we don’t really edit, why do you ask?

Outro music is “Pinball Wizard” as covered by The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, which you should see the full video for.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 125 // SWORD BOX!

In which we offend the southern states and maybe also most of the British.

It’s part one of our HUGE finalé to our companion of Doctor Whooch – featuring Doctor Who podcast luminaries Erika Ensign and Steven Schapansky! This one has it all. Or it would if we hadn’t split it in two. So I guess this one has roughly half. BUT WHAT A HALF IT IS. We blame Saskatchewan for things, discover Steven’s superpower, decide that Arthur Darvill is British AF and toss out spoilers for Earthshock. So if you’re listening to this in 1982, uh… whoops.

Outro music is “Oceans Brawl” by Coeur de pirate

Doctor Whooch // Episode 091 // A Priest, A Rabbi, And A Cleric Walk Into A Bar

In which we return to deal with a floppy man complaining about his first world time and space problems.

On this week’s edition of the show, Danica and Brandon continue to trip down the River Song timeline with FLESH AND STONE, a not-at-all terrifying episode involving weird stone space monsters. (I WONDER WHICH CREATURES THOSE ARE??!?) Along the way, people die. And some don’t! And Matt Smith remains floppity. Also, we discuss Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, because everybody should at some point in their lifetime.

Outro music is “Let’s Misbehave” from Miss Fisher’s.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 089 // A Pterodactyl Wants A Sandwich

In which we end with Canadian Millennial Nightmare Fuel.

On this week’s show, it’s “The Wedding of River Song” as we continue to hop through the River Song timeline. Guess what? It’s complicated, and it’s only going to get more confusing as we go, because it’s about to loop in on itself. Funnnnnnnnnn. Also FUN FACT: did you know that this was the episode we watched when we first met each other? IT WAS. And so you get a sappy story alongside this one where Winston Churchill is Caesar. Yeah, shit gets bananas, and The Doctor ends up looking like a Hobo Matt Fraction.

Outro music is (to be experienced as a horrible nightmare)

Doctor Whooch // Episode 088 // Jerk Science

In which we forgot the title of the episode immediately after saying it.

On this week’s episode: we get afraid of wifi as we watch the series seven episode called… called… ugh. I think I lost the name of the title again already. Hmm. Well, whatever it is, there’s a heaping spoonful of misogyny in there because we can’t have nice things. Also, we talk about that. The part where we can’t have nice things, but we SHOULD, because sci-fi can be ANYTHING TO ANYBODY, so why not do that? And uh OH OH OH, it was called “The Bells of Saint John”. Ha. I KNEW I’d remember that.

Outro music is “Hey Girl” by Tacocat.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 087 // Gentlemanly Dickery

In which we turn down for butts.

This week’s episode follows along the River Song timeline with a little ditty called “Let’s Kill Hitler” from Series 6. FUN FACT! This was the first episode Brandon watched live, which would lead him down the path to meeting Danica. Doctor Who is the best, you guys.

Also on this week’s episode: a deadly game of murder chicken, and a lot of singing. And a special outdo song you don’t want to miss. Trust us on this one.

Outro music is “Turn Down For Butts” by DJ Snake, Lil Jon and ???

Doctor Whooch // Episode 086 // We Like Your Stupid Faces

In which someone pulls a Phillip K Dick move.

On this week’s show: we head back to Series 7 and take a “Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS” with a spaceship full of assholes. We also see various rooms from the TARDIS. And The Doctor is weirdly sexist? Or I guess more overtly. There was a thing. Many things. And drunkeness.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 085 // The Doctor Is A Dick In A Rocket

In which the title really speaks for itself.

This week on the show, Brandon and Danica are on to the next stop in the River Song timeline: “Day of the Moon”. And good news! Mark Shepard is still here. That was super nice of him to stick around and be handsome on a genre show. Beyond that, this one has a bit of everything. Singing! Weird phrasing! Dancing? Maybe. How would you even know? You wouldn’t. So there.

Outro music is “Man on the Moon” by R.E.M.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 084 // This Will All End In Teas

Preferably an Earl Grey, but we’re open to options.

On this week’s show, Danica and Brandon head back to series 6 to watch “The Girl Who Waited”. Fun fact! Brandon talks about watching this episode for the first time in crying in bed and it’s not awkward. Nope. And what else. Um… oh! Rory is pretty much useless in this episode, which is weird considering he’s the one who is supposedly given the big heartbreaking decision. So there’s that. And also silliness! Enjoy, nerds!

Outro music is “All By Myself” by John Barrowman. Yes, really.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 083 // I Thought It Was Utah

In which Mark Sheppard is a handsome car hobo.

On this week’s show, Danica and Brandon revisit the timeline of River Song with “The Impossible Astronaut”, which features several different version of her, and should absolutely NOT get too confusing for our drunk-as-hell podcast. Spoiler alert: Mark Shepard is on it and he is DEFINITELY AMERICAN. Also, Jim the Fish is a thing. And tunnels? And Silence. And guns. And fun. Yes. Fun. FUNNN.

Outro music is SPECIFICALLY Nicki Minaj’s part of “Monster”
