Doctor Whooch // Episode 137 // The World Is a Vampire (Moleman)

In which we bid Devin adieu as we send him into the SEA…

…of our gratitude. Also, it is his last episode for now. Sad faces all around!

Well, it has come to this. The last episode of Miracle Day, and the last episode of Torchwood. It has been a ride. As Danica and Brandon bid a fond farewell to their season long guest, they all endure and episode where there is a lot of blood, and the world has two buttholes. And if you control the buttholes, you control the world, but only if you have special blood? Torchwood is wild, y’all. And there wasn’t even a lizard people conspiracy!

Doctor Whooch // Episode 136 // Cat Butt in the Middle of the World

Well, THAT took a turn. And that’s saying something… seeing how we’re still watching Torchwood.

Folks, Brandon, Danica, and Devin are almost done with this run. It’s the home stretch! The second last episode – Torchwood: The Gathering. In which a bunch of nerds meet up at the centre of the earth to cast spells or something? Who knows at this point. All we REALLY know is that there’s a thing with blood and possibly vampire mole men.

What. It could be a thing.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 131 // Bitches Get Snitches

In which Devin has to moderate a domestic dispute.

Welcome back to (WHY ARE WE DOING THIS) a full on, deep dive into Torchwood: Miracle Day, with your regular hosts, Danica and Brandon, and our irregular host, Devin R. Bruce. On this week’s show: “Escape to L.A.”! It’s… interesting. At almost all times, at least one of us can’t remember the names of the Americans on the show, which is fun. Also, there’s a lot of yelling. TORCHWOOD.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 128 // 8 Shotguns and a Baby

Hello ladies. Hello laddies. We’re BACK.

Welcome to a very special season of Doctor Whooch, in which we dig into the final season of Torchwood (Miracle Day!) with a very special guest… Devin R. Bruce! He’s going to be here for all ten episodes and he’s very uncomfortable about it which means he’s perfect for the job. (He’s great.)

On this episode – we’re talking about Episode One entitled “The New World”. Inside: Danica kills English professors! Everyone has VERY LEGITIMATELY AMERICAN NAMES. There’s a baby with a shotgun? Probably! It’s Torchwood. And also, Rhys still isn’t dead, and Brandon can not handle it.

Friggen Rhys.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 078 // UGLY CRYING

In which there are so many tears, you guys.

This episode sees Brandon and Danica finish up “Torchwood: Children of Earth”, so you know what that means. Ugly crying. THE UGLIEST CRYING. Also, Danica gets to punch Brandon a lot and wow, drinking for five episodes of Torchwood is some crazy business.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 077 // The Smell of Pregnancy

In which we’re watching Torchwood again and the drinking is more appropriate.

Danica and Brandon are back with their first episode of 2016 with a slurry dissection of the first two episodes of TORCHWOOD: CHILDREN OF EARTH. Or is that Children of Man? Or Men? Brandon is not good with titles, even when he is sober.

There’s a lot of great stuff to talk about in this episode, such as Captain Jack’s complete inability to comprehend CHILDREN, but we also make time to talk about the recent SHERLOCK special where a white dude explains feminism to a room full of silent women. That’ll probably go over well.

Replay // Doctor Whooch and the Case of the Cry Face Ianto

We’ll be starting up Doctor Whooch’s 2016 new episodes next week, but first let’s go back and check out one of our favourite episodes of olde. It involves guest host James Leask (of Comics! The Blog, Moneyballas, and Twitter fame), Torchwood, ugly cry face Ianto, and an uncomfortably sexy Cyberwoman.

Please enjoy Episode 21, Ianto, No! and tune in for episode 77 on January 14.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 029 // Getting Blitzed

In which we’re dying for your entertainment!

On this episode, we finally get to the end of Torchwood Series One with the episodes “Captain Jack Harkness” and “End of Days”. One of them was really good, and one of them was something else. We’ll give you a hint as to which was which: Captain Jack Harkness featured two Jack Harkness’ making out a little, and the other one was dumb.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 027 // Christmas Feels

In which Torchwood treats us to a nice holiday tale of assisted suicide.

We’re back with Captain Jack in this week and things get… happy? No, no, this is Torchwood, so things gets sad and sexy and sadnsexy. It’s like schadenfreunde, but less German. Anyway, we watched “Out of Time” (Series One, Episode Ten) and “Combat” (Series One, Episode Eleven) and drank and laughed until we cried and cried and cried.

Outro music is “September” by Sisqo and Vitamin C. Yeah, you read that right.

Doctor Whooch // Episode 025 // Science Is Magic!

In which Danica is surly until the Peach Schnapps kicks in.

In this week’s episode, we have some more Torch-words about Torchwood, as Brandon visits “Countrycide” (Series 1, Episode 6) and we both check out “They Keep Killing Suzie” and “Random Shoes” (Episodes 8 and 9). One of them leaves you empty as you ponder the inevitability of death. The other leaves you hopeful as you ponder the inevitability of death. Torchwood!

Bonus note: You should listen to The Listmakers. Yes, yes you should.
